Erica Walther Schlaefer

Getting blindsided by infertility at 26, Erica and her husband tried for 4 years to conceive a child through Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).  With nothing but an ectopic pregnancy and a lot of heartache, they decided to adopt. Their two-year-old son Min Man, born in South Korea, came home in 2008.

The perils of infertility and adoption inspired Erica and her husband to make a difference in the lives of others, so Erica became the founder and President of the national non profit, Parenthood for Me, Inc. This organization provides support and resources to people hoping to become parents through medical intervention or adoption.  Erica chronicles her continuing infertility struggles, life as an adoptive mom, and more at her blog on Parenthood for Me.
