Christina Gombar

Christina Gombar bears the unique distinction of being rejected by both the fertility Gods and the adoption complex. At 49, she has finally come to accept and sometimes even embrace her status as a non-Mom, but wonders if society will ever accept her.

Her commentary on women’s issues has appeared in The London Review of Books, The New York Times, and Working Woman.  She’s authored a book, Great Women Writers 1900-1950, and been a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow.  Her creative work has won numerous awards, and been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.  She holds an M.A. in Creative Writing and English from the City University of New York.

She blogs on her own site, www.ChristinaGombar.com. Christina is revising her first novel, Black Box, a romantic thriller based on her years on Wall Street, and is at work on a second, Expiration Dates, about two friends torn apart by fertility challenges.
