Exhale first began as a monthly online magazine with both featured stories, poems, and artwork as well as a group of regular monthly columnists.
I had the pleasure of both archiving and re-formatting each and every written piece from past issues. It was enthralling and heartbreaking to read each story, the voices forming a collective strength. I laughed and at times almost cried again, even though I had read some of the stories multiple times before. I saw familiar facets of myself, as well as women I didn’t recognize but somehow weren’t strangers.
If you have the opportunity to spend some time in our archives, I highly suggest it. Each volume is archived to preserve the original layout as much as possible with our new format.
